We at Poynton Baptist Church would love to invite you all to our anniversary celebrations! In our 150th year of being in this part of the village, we are excited to welcome our friends and neighbours to be a part of the PBC story.
The church will be open throughout the last week of June, showcasing a free entry exhibition extravaganza where you can explore history through the photographs, the videos and most importantly, the people! It will feature five different actors who will regale the audiences with tales that journey from the yesteryear of 1867, through the eras until the present day. So please come and share whatever connections you have, whether they stem from bringing toddlers to the Playaway group, engaging with the Crusaders during the seventies, just popping in during Poyntonfest or even coming for a wedding (maybe your own!). Find out what the church actually does today, how it serves the community.
And to wrap up this particular chapter, we will finish the week with a celebration service on Sunday 1st July, catching up with old friends and previous ministers, before eating lunch together. The meal is being provided free of charge, and there are absolutely no obligations or expectations. Come and join the fun!
