We've been working hard to capture the essence of the church and spell out the kind of church God wants us to be in the future. The fruit can be seen in this new four-part vision summary and a preaching series (available from this page).
As a church we are striving to help followers of Jesus grow in their
faith. We are eager to see others join with us as well as helping people
who are starting out on their spiritual journey.

LISTEN
Hungry for an intimate walk with God we aim to be a church where people grow deeper in their faith. By getting to grips with the Bible we want our attitudes and way of life to be more and more like Jesus.
By making worship a priority and being enthusiastic about prayer we will
try to create as many opportunities as possible for people to encounter
the Lord.
We intend to develop our
church programme so that it helps us understand the world through the lens
of Scripture as well as provide practical resources to handle the
challenging issues of life.
Building authentic community LISTEN
We want to be a
church where people encourage and support one another; a loving
environment where people of all ages, from the youngest to the oldest, can
feel part of the larger family of God.
We aim to develop a range of small groups so that everyone is able to find one where they can develop friendships, be open and honest, as well as care for one another. God calls everyone to play their part in giving their energy and resources to build the church and we try hard to encourage an atmosphere of generosity.
As a spiritual community we are open to God’s Spirit moving in surprising ways and want to release people to develop the gifts God has given them.
Our sights are set on being a network of people who embody Jesus’
promise that everyone will know we are his followers by our love for one
another.

LISTEN
Our experience of a
relationship with Jesus inspires us to see others know him for themselves.
We aim to be co-workers with Jesus so that others might see the light and
love of God through us. We want to make a difference and be a positive
influence in society helping demonstrate God’s grace and compassion as
well as his desire for justice in the world.
Our ambition is that everyone in the church is engaged in helping people connect with God.
How can you be part of this?
If you are new to the church we would encourage you to join with us by:
Being a regular part of our
worship gatherings.
Ask about finding a small group that you can feel at home in.
Getting stuck into helping develop one area of church life.
We hope that everyone who participates in the life of PBC will give a proportion of their income to the church and become a committed member.
