You can read Neil's blog at http://neilbrighton.typepad.com/ *** Associate Minister Rev. Ruth Moriarty Ruth was born and raised in East London. After working in PR and development for Forest YMCA in Walthamstow, she trained as a Baptist minister at Regent's Park College, Oxford. Her first church was Woolwich Central Baptist Church, a bustling multi-cultural church in a key regeneration area of London. Now as associate minister at Poynton Baptist Church in Cheshire, Ruth remains dedicated to illuminating Christ, equipping and walking alongside those who follow and those who do not yet follow God. * Youth Worker Joe Smith joined us in September 2010 as youth worker helping to lead Energy. Having recently completed a degree in Christian Youth work he combines organising and leading youth work with a sense of fun. As well as a passion for working with young people Joe is also very interested in music, regularly leading worship in church. Joe Smith, Youth Worker * Core Leadership Team** Responsibility for leading the church is shared by the Core Leadership Team. This team includes Neil, and Ruth and those listed: Jonathan Ayres (Church Administrator) Andrew Firth (Treasurer) Dave Dyball Stephanie Longson Alison Sharpe Elaine Slinn Tim Watson Together the team focus on the areas of Spiritual Discernment (what is God saying to us), Vision (what is God’s plan for the church and how do we develop strategies to live this out) and Policy (creating a framework that releases other groups in the church and enables every area to work together).
