Youth Pastor

Alan Leese, Youth Pastor and family

Our new Youth Pastor Alan Leese comes to us from Scotland where he served as youth worker for Perth Baptist Church for seven years. In that time he got married to Liz, then became a dad to Gabrielle and Ben.

Apart from faith and family Alan's big passions in life are Manchester United FC and Blue Cow. Now he's in Poynton he wants to see God's kingdom grow here;

"I became a Christian in my teens and know the pressures and pitfalls but also the possibilities that are real to young people who want to find God and live 100% for him. My attitude is that we've got to unconditionally stand by "the youth of today" and walk the path with them. I'm looking forward to working with the young people and everyone who cares for them, to be part of something amazing"

Alan is responsible for the Energy Groups.

Core Leadership Team

Responsibility for leading the church is shared by the Core Leadership Team. This team includes Neil, as Senior Minister, and six other people:

Stephen Hughes (Church Administrator)

Peter Marriott (Treasurer)

Jonathan Ayres

Bill Holmes

Isabel Norris

Tim Watson

Together the team focus on the areas of Spiritual Discernment (what is God saying to us), Vision (what is God’s plan for the church and how do we develop strategies to live this out) and Policy (creating a framework that releases other groups in the church and enables every area to work together). The Core Leadership Team also act as the Church’s Charity Trustees.
