The Creche is available during Sunday morning services in a sound proofed room, near the back of church. When the babies become toddlers and reach the age of 2,  they move into Pebbles 1 group.  

Crèche has run smoothly during this year, and currently there are 22 helpers on the  rota, which means that most people only do one session each term.  Many thanks to everyone.

Of the 22 people, 8 are young mums themselves, and they willingly take their turn, but perhaps we should aim to let them have a complete break from childcare, to relax and enjoy the Sunday morning service, with creche staffed with those who want to practise being grans and grandads! Or perhaps with those who have never had that opportunity, but who love children.  We haven’t had an abundance of babies and toddlers this year – in general up to 5 or 6 maximum each week, and sometimes just a couple, but it is rewarding watching them grow and develop, and also to get to know mums and dads little by little.

We have a need:  it is for someone (or a couple would be ideal) with a heart for little ones and for pastoral ministry to young parents, who would take on the practicalities of overseeing creche, looking after the rota, ensuring the job is covered each week and checking that the room is ready and welcoming. Practically, and in terms of time, it is one of the smallest areas of service in PBC but to cultivate relationships with the young parents is a ministry which is what we, as God’s servants, make of it in terms of time and effort and there is much scope for caring and dedicated workers here.  Please consider if this would be an area of service for you, individually or as a couple.
