What happened in Alpha during '03?

At PBC, we have just completed our second Alpha Course of the year and God has been busy in the lives of a number of people. We have seen people come to Christ. We have seen some be baptised and have even seen a couple get married! It doesn't get any better than this folks.

These 'young' Christians need all the love and support we (the church) are able to give them. They need much prayer. Some of them still have issues that need dealing with. We must remember that they are 'babes in Christ' and as such need to be nurtured gently and lovingly. It is an unbelievable privilege to be involved in Alpha but one that brings with it much responsibility.

Our latest course started on 25th September and it is of great encouragement to those involved in Alpha to see the new Christians bringing their friends to Alpha to experience what they have. What a lesson to us all. God is honouring these folk by allowing them to see their friends and family come to know Jesus. Ten people are currently attending an Alpha Bridge course and are avid learners of the Word.

Our thanks go to those who faithfully support Alpha and who share in the joy that meeting with those who are seeking answers brings. We regularly see a wide age range, all of whom are searching for answers to their questions. Be challenged! Last September York Minster hosted an Alpha Supper for 700 people. We usually get around 50. It must be worth a fiver to see one of your friends come to know Jesus as their Saviour!!

If none of this touches you - at least pray.
