There is so much to praise and thank God for as we look back on this Summer and ahead through Autumn '03.

Lent groups enabled some new friends to be made and some old ones to meet up again. Several of the groups have kept in touch and met up for lunch or evenings.  Many of those connections made formed the basis for some of the other work we did together.

The Truth & Justice Challenge was just that – in many ways.  It was a lot of hard work but we saw nearly 200 children in PBC visiting the exhibition and the feedback was very positive.  The prospect of the Community Family Project was shared and received very warmly.  A number of people have expressed interest in going overseas on mission either next year or later. We were also challenged by the call of the Persecuted Church especially in Korea .  People, both from within, and from without church life, met with the Lord in the Peace Prayer Garden . Fair Trade and concern for the environment were expressed through the Fair Trade Fashion Show, Craft Fair, litter picking and recycling.  The closing united service was moving with heartfelt cries to work for truth and justice.

All these things give us the cause for thanksgiving but also a call to prayer – pray that we will pick up the challenge and continue to seek God and to work more and more to see His Kingdom come in all these areas.

We were blessed with wonderful weather for the Sports-link Festival Weekend and testimonies were shared powerfully and publicly in the open-air service.  A good foundation has been laid throughout the year for ongoing Sports Outreach.  Pray for guidance as the Sports-link team meet together to seek the right way forward in this mission.

Festival Manchester – well you can see some of the evidence. Please pray that we can keep the momentum going and keep moving ahead in step with the Spirit.

Beyond the Ring has been another great opportunity to work together. The sun shone and events were a sell out.

We are at a time of change as we face change in leadership in a period of 12 months.  But change is the agent of a changeless God and we are entering a new time in history. Praise God for all His blessings, may His Kingdom come, may His will be done in Poynton, the North West , Great Britain and to the ends of the earth.  Together we can and must make a difference in His Name.
