About Poynton Baptist Church

We believe PBC to be a lively, friendly, informal, and outward-looking church with a vision for growth. The church has a miraculous story of growth and has experienced renewal in recent years. It is an inter-generational community of 300 members with many more on the fringes.

We endorse the statements of faith of both the Evangelical Alliance and the Baptist Union. The emphasis that visitor’s often comment on is that PBC is a ‘Word and Spirit’ based church.

In terms of leadership, PBC is committed to team ministry, with full-time ministerial staff working alongside a team of Elders and Deacons .
