HOME a brand new play currently touring nationally, portraying an epic journey from slavery ...to promise.

The people of God stand on the edge of the Promised Land - but it is here they discover that the journey out of slavery didn't end when they passed the borders of Egypt.

Based on the books of Exodus, Numbers and Deuteronomy, Home follows a group of characters as they undertake an epic journey ... as they discover who God really is and what he wants them to be ... as they struggle to trust ... as they wrestle with the past ... as they choose which pathway they will follow.

Home is a story of the past ... but it is also a story of the present. It is the story of the people of God. It is the story of all of us.

RACE MISSION

This year the Isle of Man celebrates 100 years of TT racing, the racing and celebrations are expected to attract over 100,000 visitors including royalty, politicians, celebrities from all walks of life as well as a galaxy of pop stars and bands from all over the world.

Race Mission has been part of that history, for over 26 years we have had a presence in and around the competitors paddock area and we have been regarded as a integral part of the event. Our presence representing the Christian faith has helped many people, we have celebrated success with people, commiserated with people in disappointment and of course prayed with people through injury as well as comforting relatives and friends of competitors who have lost their lives through racing. We have encouraged and helped young riders to keep going even when their race budgets are empty, supplied hot baths, food, fuel , buying the odd tyre as well as supplying a shoulder for people to cry on. There are people who wonder what God has to do with motor cycle racing, and we seize this opportunity to point them to the greatest book ever written.

Race Mission also organizes the annual Grandstand Service, with over 350 people, led from the winners rostrum. It is one of the most unusual services of thanksgiving to be held anywhere in the world (with traffic continuing to pass by). For the service to be led from the winners rostrum indicates that there is only one winner and He will continue to win through all the politics and smoke screens of international motor cycling—He deserves all the magnums of Champagne and winners bouquets that have been given over the last 100 years…..Our Lord Jesus Christ.

Three Peaks - more information

On 7th to 9th June Dave Dyball will compete (with 3 work colleagues) in the Three Peaks Challenge, walking Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon (the highest mountains in Scotland, England and Wales) in under 36 hours (a total distance of approx 27 miles, a lot of it uphill !). They need to raise at least £2,500 as a team for the Railway Children charity. Dave is asking for your support in sponsoring him on this challenge.

There are 120 million street children around the world.

·     - In the UK 100,000 children run away every year.

·     - In India there are 12 million street children, equivalent to the total  population of children in the UK.

·     - In Guatemala 70 street children are murdered every month.

The proceeds from your sponsorship will help stop the abuse of children living on the streets. Thank you for your support, Dave.
