HARVEST THANKSGIVING

BMS Harvest Appeal 2005 - Sunday 9th October

Para los Ninos (For the children)

“Come you thankful people, come”

Show your thankfulness to God for all His good gifts by giving to the Baptist Missionary Appeal for the Pre-Schools started by Stuart and Georgie Christine in 1992. The first PEPE’s (Pre-school Education Programme) started in Sao Paulo with 12 children, and has spread to nine countries including, this year Ecuador. The Harvest Appeal is to enable yet more to be done to help disadvantaged children get a good two-year basic education to help them to move easily into the state primary school system.

“The early years of a child’s life, from birth to age eight, are critical to a child’s development. Studies show that a child’s health, nutrition and emotional environment in those years have a powerful effect on  brain development and on behaviour, competence, coping skills and health later in life” (source: Unicef).

An amount that doesn’t make much difference to you can make all the difference in the world to someone in Ecuador, Angola or another country where BMS could set up PEPE projects. Please come along and learn more about what is happening. Don’t just pray and don’t just give, do both and change lives (James 2:14-16).

Please give generously. Cheques should be made payable to

BMS World Mission.
