NEWS RELEASE: 25th April 2004:

This Sunday will be Rob’s last as Senior Minister at PBC. He is at pains to point out that he is not retiring but rather will be working with the Baptist movement, Mainstrean, in a trans-local, apostolic role. He will also be developing his work with the Manchester church scene, particularly working with leaders.

PBC are extremely grateful to Rob and Marion for the huge contribution they have made in shaping the church into the thriving and innovative community of faith it has become. Rob has brought many emphases and skills which the Lord has powerfully used, not least in Rob’s passion for renewal in worship and engaging in meaningful mission. He has also played a significant role in the work amongst the churches together in Poynton. Whilst both Rob and Marion will continue to be part of the fellowship at PBC, their ministry skills, in this new role, will be enjoyed by a wider audience. They will both be greatly missed at PBC.

There will be the opportunity for a more formal farewell celebration in October – indeed Rob will be involved in leading and preaching at PBC over the next 6 months. Please pray for Rob and Marion as they move forward in faith and for the church as it transitions to the next chapter in its life.
