for this month ‘EASTER
BACKCLOTH – GRASP THE VISION OF VICTORY’ Jesus leaves the eternal glory of His Father’s presence and steps into my world. Through pain, anguish and for love, He carries everything that is bad in me to the cross. The blood which spills, even from the cross to the grave, pays once, and for all time, the price of my salvation. Victorious, He overcomes death and rises triumphantly to take His place, crowned with glory, at the right hand of the Father, King of Kings, Lord of Lords, and in so doing He promises me everlasting life in His glorious presence. “He
lives, He lives – I know that my Redeemer lives”! |

| NEWS
RELEASE: 25th April 2004:
This Sunday will be Rob’s last as Senior Minister at PBC. He is at pains to point out that he is not retiring but rather will be working with the Baptist movement, Mainstrean, in a trans-local, apostolic role. He will also be developing his work with the Manchester church scene, particularly working with leaders. PBC are extremely grateful to Rob and Marion for the huge contribution they have made in shaping the church into the thriving and innovative community of faith it has become. Rob has brought many emphases and skills which the Lord has powerfully used, not least in Rob’s passion for renewal in worship and engaging in meaningful mission. He has also played a significant role in the work amongst the churches together in Poynton. Whilst both Rob and Marion will continue to be part of the fellowship at PBC, their ministry skills, in this new role, will be enjoyed by a wider audience. They will both be greatly missed at PBC. There will be the opportunity for a more formal farewell celebration in October – indeed Rob will be involved in leading and preaching at PBC over the next 6 months. Please pray for Rob and Marion as they move forward in faith and for the church as it transitions to the next chapter in its life. Mark Elder April ‘04 |
